• This restaurant started on Houston Avenue and my older sister introduced it to me and myself and 7 other girls gave a senior party there in 1956. My question is that I would like to have their recipe for their taco meat. No one in the area cooks theirs the same. I was really sad when they closed their doors. Maybe you could check this out for me. This was the best Mexican food restaurant in the Golden Triangle. We would take our 4 boys there and they would be so good and they loved it as much as we did. We would also get take out and we had another son (8 years apart from the youngest ) and he also grew up on El Charros food. I could really go on and on about their food. I wish they would come back.
